Your music. Your choice.

  • Your audio is processed on our server to provide the tools you request.
  • Guest audio expires after 24 hours; account audio after 7 days. Detected values and completed changes stay in your account history.
  • We do not sell your personal information, publish your uploads, or use your audio to train AI models.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Pitch Tempo (“we”, “us”) handles personal information at pitch-tempo.online. Pitch Tempo is responsible for deciding how that information is used. For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form and choose a subject such as “Privacy request”.

2. What we collect and why

  • Audio and your workspace. When you upload a track, we receive its audio, filename, size and basic audio properties. We create working copies, estimates, previews and exports as you request them. Chat messages, selected settings and processing results let us continue your work and recover an interrupted session.
  • Your account. If you register, we store your email address, a securely hashed password, account dates and sign-in records. We use your email for verification, password resets and account-related support. We do not store your password as readable text.
  • Messages you send us. The contact form stores your name, email, subject, message and submission date so we can review and respond to your request.
  • Optional usage analytics. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics receives page views and events such as starting a chat, using analysis or previews, exporting audio, and completing registration. It also processes a browser identifier and technical information such as device type, approximate location and referral source. We do not send audio, filenames, chat text, email addresses, passwords or private audio links to Analytics.
  • Service and security information. Our server receives technical details such as your IP address, browser information, request time and the page or service requested. Access and error logs help us keep the site working and investigate problems. Usage limits use a protected identifier derived from your IP address or account, rather than keeping your raw IP in the quota record.

Please upload only audio you are allowed to use, and avoid including unnecessary personal or confidential information in filenames, recordings or messages. You can use the audio tools without creating an account; an email and password are needed only for account features.

3. How we use and share information

We use this information to provide audio processing, save your requested progress, secure accounts, apply fair-use limits and handle support. We do not use it for advertising profiles or sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Access is limited to operating and supporting the service. Our hosting provider supplies the infrastructure. Verification and password-reset emails are delivered through Twilio SendGrid, which receives the destination email address and email content, including the requested security code. Email open and click tracking are disabled. Audio is processed on our server and is not sent to SendGrid.

With your analytics consent, Google processes usage measurements for us through Google Analytics. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled. Google may process this information outside your country. See how Google uses information from sites and its data processing terms for information about processing and transfer safeguards.

Service providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States for email delivery. Twilio describes its transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its Data Protection Addendum. Contact us for more information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your data.

We may disclose information when legally required or when necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service or other people. We do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request for accounts and audio processing; our legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention and support; and legal obligations where required. Optional analytics relies on your consent. Declining or withdrawing it does not affect your audio tools or account.

4. How long information stays

Guest audio and results
Available for 24 hours from upload. Expired files and working copies are removed during routine cleanup once any active processing has finished. Finishing a guest chat closes access; it does not reset the 24-hour period.
Saved account chats
Audio, previews, exports and working copies are available for 7 days from the original upload, then removed during routine cleanup after active processing finishes. Detected key/BPM and settings from the completed export or last completed preview remain in your chat; audio, waveform and conversation text do not. Removing a chat hides it immediately and allows a 24-hour recovery period before deletion of the remaining record. Signing in before guest audio expires extends its availability to 7 days from its original upload, not from sign-in. Keep your own copy of important audio.
Account information
Kept while your account is open. To request account deletion, contact us using the email connected to your account. We may need to verify that it is yours.
Verification and usage records
Security codes expire after 10 minutes. Sign-in sessions last up to 30 days. Temporary request and limit records expire according to their purpose, usually within 24 hours, and are cleared through routine cleanup or later requests.
Optional analytics
Analytics cookies expire within 180 days. Google Analytics retains detailed user and event data for 2 months; aggregated reports may remain available longer.
Support and operational records
Support messages remain until reviewed and removed, taking account of unresolved questions and any need to document the response. Web access logs are normally rotated over about 10 days. Relevant records may be kept longer to resolve a security incident, dispute or legal obligation.

Restricted maintenance backups may contain older records until those copies are replaced or removed. A deletion request also covers copies under our control, subject to any lawful reason to retain them. Deletion from the live service does not mean every backup is erased instantly.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Essential cookies and browser storage support your audio session and account. Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you select “Allow all”. Choose “Essential only” to use the site without analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

What your browser stores
ItemPurposeDuration
__Host-pt_session
Cookie
Keeps you signed in securely after login. It is not set merely by visiting as a guest.Up to 30 days; removed on sign-out or after a password reset in that browser.
pitch-tempo.active-workspace.v1
Browser storage
Restores your current chat, filename, settings and references needed to access your audio after a refresh. It does not store the audio file itself.Until you finish or clear the local session. After audio expiry, the browser keeps only the expiry notice and available result summary until you start another file or clear the session.
pitch-tempo.account-change
Browser storage
A timestamp that tells your other open tabs when your sign-in status changes.Replaced on the next account change or removed when you clear site storage.
pitch-tempo.cookie-choice.v2
Browser storage
Remembers whether you allow optional analytics.Up to 180 days; the expiry is checked when you return.
_ga, _ga_*
Optional cookies
Help Google Analytics count visits, sessions and use of the tools after your permission.Up to 180 days; removed in this browser when you choose Essential only.
pitch-tempo.analytics-events.v1
Optional session storage
Prevents the same completed audio job or registration being counted twice after a refresh. Its internal references stay in your browser.Until the tab closes; entries older than 24 hours are discarded.

The workspace normally uses local storage, with session storage as a fallback when available. Session storage ends when the tab or browser session closes. You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings; this can sign you out and remove access to an unfinished guest chat. It does not itself delete saved account data on our server.

Use “Change cookie settings” in this Privacy Policy to change your choice. Choosing Essential only stops future analytics collection and removes analytics cookies in this browser. Withdrawing consent does not erase measurements already received by Google; contact us if you have a data request. Blocking cookies or analytics in your browser can also prevent measurements.

6. Your choices and rights

You can work as a guest, remove saved chats from your account and clear browser storage. Depending on the law that applies, you may also request access to, correction, deletion or a portable copy of your personal information, restrict its use or object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent for the future.

Send a request through our contact form. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity, but please do not send passwords or verification codes. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, normally one month for requests covered by the GDPR. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Keeping data safe

We use HTTPS, protected passwords, restricted access and private file links to help protect your information. No online service can promise absolute security. Avoid sharing access links, and sign out when using a shared device.

Pitch Tempo is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a child under 16 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

8. Questions and updates

Use our contact form for privacy questions or concerns. We aim to review incoming messages within 48 hours, excluding weekends; completing a data request may take longer. We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate, and any new consent will be requested when required.
